Justin Bieber Paparazzi Foil Charged in Highway Chase

The moron who chased Justin Bieber around a Los Angeles freeway earlier this month might soon pay for his actions in court.

As previously reported, the artist was pulled over on July 6 for driving around 80 miles per hour, but witnesses confirmed he was doing his best to speed away from multiple members of the paparazzi who were after him for photographs.

According to the City Attorney, a freelance "journalist" named Paul Raef was at the head of that pack and he's been charged with:

• Two counts of following another vehicle too closely and reckless driving, with the intent to capture pictures for commercial gain.
• One count of reckless driving.
• One count of failing to obey the lawful order of a peace officer.

If convicted on all charges, Raef could face up to one year in jail and fines of $3,500.

TJ Jackson Named Guardian of Michael's Kids; Katherine Jackson on Way to California

TJ Jackson, the nephew of Michael Jackson, has been named by a court as the temporary guardian of MJ's three kids, Paris, Prince and Blanket.

The legal maneuver was necessary because Katherine Jackson - who has served in this capacity for the past three years - has been out of contact with the children for over 10 days now, since a few of her kids took her away to Arizona.

"This is not a power play by TJ Jackson," L.A. Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff said at an emergency hearing. "This is based on the allegation that Katherine Jackson is being prevented from acting as guardian."

Katherine's attorney was also present and said there's "reason to believe" her client is "being held against her will."

But that is supposedly changing now, as Randy Jackson appeared today on Good Morning America and said his mother is on her way back to California.

It appears as though Randy's scheme - to convince his mom to challenge the authenticity of Michael's will because he's upset it does not name him or any siblings as benefactors - has fallen apart and he is being forced to cave in to public pressure.

Last night, Marlon Jackson broke down during an interview, pleading to learn the whereabouts of his mother.

Rupert Sanders Apologizes for Kristen Stewart Affair

Moments after Kristen Stewart issued an apology for cheating on Robert Pattinson with Rupert Sanders, the director of Snow White and the Huntsman has come out with a statement of his own.

"I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family," Sanders tells People. "My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."

Sanders, 41 is married to a model named Liberty Ross. She actually played the young Snow White's mother in her husband's first feature film and she's the mother to his seven-year old daughter and five-year old son.

Ross reacted to Sanders' infidelity by removing a photo of herself and Stewart from her blog and by sending out a couple of incredulous Tweets before deleting her account.

Voula Papachristou: Booted from Greek Olympic Team for Racist Joke

In fewer than 140 characters, the 2012 Olympic dreams of Voula Papachristou have been dashed.

Greece's triple-jump champion has actually been removed from her country's national team just days prior to the Opening Ceremony in London because she posted the following Tweet on July 22:

"With so many Africans in Greece .. At least the mosquitoes of West Nile .. will eat homemade food!"

With backlash building and rebuke of this tasteless joke strong, Greece has announced that Papachristou will not compete at the Games due to "statements contrary to the values and ideas of the Olympic movement."

She has since issued her own statement/apology:

I would like to express my heartfelt apologies for the unfortunate and tasteless joke I published on my personal Twitter account. I am very sorry and ashamed for the negative responses I triggered, since I never wanted to offend anyone, or to encroach human rights.

My dream is connected to the Olympic Games and I could not possibly participate if I did not respect their values. Therefore, I could never believe in discrimination between human beings and races.

I would like to apologize to all my friends and fellow athletes, who I may have insulted or shamed, the National Team, as well as the people and companies who support my athletic career. Finally, I would like to apologize to my coach and my family.

Colorado Shooting Prompts Celebrity Debate Over Gun Control

While the country continues to mourn the losses incurred inside an Aurora, Colorado movie theater last week, and while new information continues to leak out about shooting James Holmes, a debate has also taken shape around America:

Considering the types of automatic weapons Holmes purchased legally, should the topic of gun control be more firmly addressed in light of the latest massacre?

Mayor Michael Bloomberg has made his feelings on the topic known, as have a number of celebrities.

Let's focus on two because they possess such contrasting opinions.

In an interview over the weekend, rapper/actor Ice-T took expressed his take: “The right to bear arms is because it’s the last form of defense against tyranny... If somebody wants to kill people, they don’t need a gun to do it.”

He later Tweeted: “If you go into the jungle…. Will you NOT get eaten because you’re a vegan??”

Now, let's hear from Jason Alexander of Seinfeld fame, also via Twitter: “I cannot understand support for legality of the kind of weapon in this massacre. It’s a military weapon. Why should it be in non-mil hands?"

Kristen Stewart Apologies for "Momentary Indiscretion" with Rupert Sanders

WOW. Kristen Stewart has come out and owned up to a romantic interlude with director Rupert Sanders.

Within hours of an Us Weekly cover blasting this story to the world, and with photos of a kiss between Stewart and Sanders heating up the Internet, the actress has taken the very rare course of admitting to her actions and addressing the man most affected by them, boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," the actress said in a just-released statement. "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

This is a remarkable development all around, considering Stewart and Pattinson rarely acknowledge they are even dating.

But Stewart gave herself no choice here but to accept responsibility for her cheating ways. Could it actually affect the box office haul of Breaking Dawn Part 2? How will Twihards react to the many appearances Kristen is likely to make in promotion of that film?

Will Robsten stay together?

So many questions. Not many answers at the moment. Just a stunned, crushed fan base trying to determine its next step.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert Sign New Comedy Central Deals

The Comedy in Comedy Central will remain intact during the 11 p.m. hour for at least another few years:

The network announced today that both Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have signed new deals to remain in their respective posts at The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

Stewart's pact calls for him to continue at the helm - as writer, host and executive producer - through 2015, while Colbert's contract runs through 2014.

Both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report have enjoyed surges in the ratings this year, with the former up 10 percent in adults 18-49 and the latter improvng by 11 percent in that key demographic.

Rupert Sanders and Kristen Stewart: The Photographic Evidence!

A supermarket tabloid may have gotten it right for once regarding Robsten.

Much to the chagrin of Robert Pattinson.

Following the bombshell Us Weekly report that Kristen Stewart cheated on Pattinson with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, the photographic evidence of this encounter has now been revealed - and if it's not 100% damning, it's fairly close to it.

Stewart and Sanders are clearly locked in a couple embraces, with the magazine story quoting the photographer who snapped the pictures.

He claims the two were "kissing like crazy" inside Kristen's car and: "They'd only take a break whenever someone walked by. It seemed like they couldn't get enough of each other. She was swept up in the moment."

Neither Stewart nor anyone in her camp has denied the report, with one anonymous source simply telling People it was a one-time incident and Stewart is "devastated" over her actions.

But the ramifications of the alleged affair could be felt for a very long time: Sanders is married to Liberty Ross and has two children. Moreover, a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman is expected to start shooting in the near future... with both Stewart AND Ross attached! Then there's promotion for Breaking Dawn Part 2 to consider.

Kristen Stewart is shy and uncomfortable around the press on a good day. How will she possibly react to this kind of attention?

Paris Jackson to Janet Jackson: Get the Eff Out!

Details have emerged regarding the incident at the Jackson home in Calabasas this week.

As previously reported, police were called to investigate some sort of altercation on the property, although no arrests were made and no names of family members involved revealed at the time.

But TMZ now cites sources who say it all started when Randy, Jermaine and Janet Jackson drive up in their SUV and tried to force Paris, Prince, and Blanket into the vehicle.

The reported goal? To unite the children with grandmother Katherine Jackson, who has been in Arizona and out of contact for over a week.

HOWEVER, Paris objected to the surprise visit/mission and grew especially angry when Janet tried to take away her cell phone, causing the singer to supposedly scream at her niece:

"You're a spoiled little b*tch!"

Paris Jackson replied: This is our house. Not the Jackson family house. Get the f-ck out, all while cousin Trent Jackson was getting into a physical confrontation with Jermaine Jackson and Randy Jackson in an attempt to keep them away from the three children.

It's a monumental, ugly mess and it all circles back to objections over Michael Jackson's will, which leaves his entire estate to his kids. For the supposed adults in this family, it all comes down a money grab. No matter the personal cost.

Brad Paisley to Judge American Idol Season 12?

Might American Idol be going a little country on Season 12?

With Mariah Carey confirmed as a new judge for next year, Deadline reports that the Fox competition is now courting superstar singer Brad Paisley for another spot on the panel.

Like Carey, Paisley possesses one of the most impressive resumes in the recording industry.

He's set a record with 10 consecutive singles hitting number-one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and won the Entertainer of the Year award at the 44th annual CMA Awards in 2010.
